No. Placement entirely on private property — your driveway, yard, or a parking pad — is unregulated everywhere in our service area. No permit is required for private property placement.

Any time the container needs to sit in a public street or sidewalk inside Newnan city limits, it falls under the City of Newnan’s published Sidewalk Regulations. No dumpster-specific fee is published anywhere on the City’s site, so we’ll tell you to call City Hall directly to confirm before booking.

Those communities don’t have their own city government, so Coweta County’s own Engineering division, part of Public Works, is the real permitting authority for local roads and rights-of-way there — not a city office.

No, never. Asbestos requires specialized handling and disposal by a licensed abatement contractor — it cannot go in a standard roll-off container under any circumstances. This comes up more than you’d expect in some of the older homes around Newnan’s historic downtown.

Paint, fuel, motor oil, and other chemicals; lead-acid batteries; whole tires; medical waste; and appliances still holding refrigerant generally can’t go in a standard roll-off. Georgia restricts lead-acid batteries from mixed solid waste under O.C.G.A. § 12-8-28, and restricts whole-tire landfilling under the Tire Disposal Restrictions, O.C.G.A. § 12-8-40.1.
